Consultant

Pay: $50 minimum per hour

Schedule: Self-determined.

THE COMPANY

Undaunted, LLC helps nonprofits optimize their CRMs and case management systems to save more time, serve more people, and get better data for decision-makers and stakeholders. 

THE POSITION

The Consultant is an independent contractor who operates under our brand, uses our resources, brings in new clients, takes the lead on projects they bring in, and potentially helps other consultants with their own projects, at their discretion. As independent contractors, consultants are self-employed, but operating under our brand comes with certain expectations.

  • Collaboration: Listen first. Assume the client knows more about the problem than you do.

  • Use ClickUp to track projects and time.
  • Use Google Workspace to communicate and collaborate.
  • Use Gusto to receive payments.

• Contribute to Our Shared Success:
  • Bring in clients.
  • Collaborate with other team members.
  • Refer clients internally as applicable and advised.
  • Help other team members as your expertise and bandwidth allow.

THE PAY

• Percentage of Project: When a consultant leads a project, they keep 65% of the revenue. The remaining 30% goes for general overhead and 5% for profit sharing with hourly staff.
• Internal Subcontracting: A project lead may pull others in to help them (paying them from their 65%) at a fixed and uniform rate of $50 per hour.

Consulting with Undaunted, LLC is an ideal fit for someone who has been struggling with bandwidth as an independent consultant or for a nonprofit professional who is considering getting into consulting. To be considered, you must possess the following four characteristics:

1. Nonprofit Experience: You need to have served on staff at a nonprofit organization.
2. Tech Expertise: You need to have deep, niche knowledge of some platform, language, or method.
3. Inclusive Ethos: You need to pursue nonprofits consistent with our values and commitments.
4. Strong Ethics: You need the ability to sacrifice your self-interest for the sake of what is right.
